If you are passionate about building awareness about myeloma in your local community and fundraising for Myeloma Australia, we would love to hear from you!
Every week, over 50 Australians are diagnosed with myeloma.
Myeloma Australia is Australia’s only dedicated myeloma charity. We have a vision to reach each of the 22,000 Australians who are living with myeloma, and their loved ones. We can support, inform, empower and bring hope to the myeloma community. But we can’t do this alone.
As a not-for-profit charity organisation that does not receive government funding, we rely on the passion, generosity and drive of our community.
If you or someone you know has been touched by myeloma, and/or if you are passionate about being a part of the fight against myeloma, you might consider running a community fundraising event. This is a great way to channel your passion and to mobilise the support of your family, friends, and network.
There are endless ways to fundraise for Myeloma Australia
We have found the key to organising any fundraising activity is to choose an activity you enjoy doing knowing that your efforts will impact the entire myeloma community.
How you can get involved
Here are some ideas that may assist you in getting started. Are you a baker, a bread maker, do you love to knit or make toys? Maybe you are super active and love a challenge! Why not get people to sponsor your walking efforts, cycling or swimming?
We will support, advise, and cheer you on each step of the way as you conceptualise, promote and deliver on your fundraising endeavour of any shape or size. Every dollar raised brings us closer towards a pathway to cure.
We use the online fundraising platform JustGiving. You can set up your own fundraising page for your event/campaign by clicking here: Just Giving Myeloma Australia
