Every week, 38 Australians are diagnosed with myeloma, an incurable type of blood cancer that develops in the bone marrow. There are 20,000 Australians currently living with myeloma, each of whom have a family and loved ones who are deeply impacted by their diagnosis.

Myeloma Australia is Australia’s only dedicated myeloma charity. We are not government funded, relying on the generosity of our donors and partners to provide our services – all of which are delivered free of charge to ensure equitable access.

By investing a major gift with Myeloma Australia, you can help us to support, inform and empower those living with myeloma; give hope to them and their loved ones; and work with myeloma health professionals to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Your gift of $5,000 or more could help to:

  • Grow our network of specialised myeloma support nurses as we work towards supporting every Australian who is living with myeloma;
  • Expand our myeloma information and support groups across the nation, with an increasing focus on rural and remote communities;
  • Educate and inform our community by making our printed, video and digital resources widely available and accessible;
  • Raise awareness and understanding of myeloma among health professionals and the wider community, leading to earlier diagnosis and improved outcomes;
  • Advocate for improved access to the latest treatments through the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), making life with myeloma as long and as comfortable as possible;
  • Support ongoing education, research support and collaboration of doctors, nurses and researchers working in myeloma; and
    Facilitate myeloma research as we strive towards better treatment and, ultimately, a cure.

Major gifts can be made by individuals, families or groups; via businesses or corporations; via a Private Ancillary Fund; via a gift in Will; or through a Trust or Foundation.

Myeloma Australia is a not-for-profit organisation, endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a deductible gift recipient and has charity tax concession status.
