Medical & Scientific Advisory Group

Myeloma Australia’s Medical and Scientific Advisory Group (MSAG) unites leading haematologists and scientists to drive myeloma research, education and advocacy.

What is MSAG?

Myeloma Australia’s Medical and Scientific Advisory Group (MSAG) was established in 2006 as a sub-committee of the Board of Myeloma Australia.

Inclusive of haematologists and scientists from all Australian States and Territories with representation from New Zealand, MSAG works to drive forward progress with the following four pillars:

Education

To provide education in the world’s best clinical practice in multiple myeloma.

Members of MSAG regularly contribute to Myeloma Australia patient support events as well as educating health care professionals nationally and internationally.

Advocacy

To liaise with industry to advocate for equitable, timely access to important therapies and the highest standard of clinical care for Australian patients with multiple myeloma.

Guidelines

To improve the standard of care for myeloma patients through scientifically validated, critically appraised consensus guidelines for the myeloma community. All MSAG guidelines and practice statements are available open access through

To facilitate and collaborate on research projects which advance the care and treatment of myeloma patients through clinical and preclinical studies.
