Myeloma Community Advisory Board (MCAB)
The Myeloma Community Advisory Board brings people living with myeloma together with Myeloma Australia to guide programs, advocacy and community support.

The Myeloma Community Advisory Board (MCAB), established in 2025, provides an opportunity for people who are living with or alongside myeloma to collaborate with Myeloma Australia to lead positive change for the benefit of all people living with myeloma.
Myeloma Australia believes that it is vital that we include members of our Australian myeloma community when developing programs, resources, and advocacy projects which support them.
MCAB exists to:
- Contribute to the design, planning, implementation and review of Myeloma Australia projects, programs and resources
- Assist in identifying gaps Myeloma Australia can fill in the support of the myeloma community
- Work in partnership with external groups with a common goal
- Add strength to the community voice uplifting advocacy and awareness
- Raise the voice of Australians with myeloma in government, policy and drug access initiatives
The MCAB terms of reference can be requested for review via emailing support@myeloma.org.au

The inaugural MCAB Group was elected after careful consideration, with the aim of representing the diverse demographics, cultures, and geographic locations of our community, particularly those in rural and remote areas.
We also prioritised the inclusion of people with lived experience of myeloma, as well as clinical and carer perspectives, recognising the critical value they bring.
